Why are no two Le Philtre bottles ever quite the same...?

We are sometimes asked what colour Le Philtre is exactly.

The most accurate answer is probably: the next one.

Deep blue, turquoise, aquamarine, jade, bottle green… Le Philtre bottles do not seek to be perfectly identical.

And that is entirely intentional.

A colour shaped by the glassmaking transition

The bottle was conceived with the circular economy in mind: it is made using recycled glass waste, rather than seeking perfectly uniform material at all costs. This process is designed to limit the use of raw materials and energy by recovering glass from an entire glassmaking transition.

One rather fortunate consequence: the colour evolves throughout the transition.

No two bottles are ever perfectly alike.

Neither are we, for that matter.

Right down to the stopper

Le Philtre uses stoppers made from reclaimed oak, left unvarnished and unpolished.

Recycled glass waste, variations in colour and reclaimed raw wood: the Le Philtre bottle rejects uniformity and makes imperfection part of its identity.
